Is there wifi?
Wifi is available, averaging 180 mbps.
Do you have a gym?
A stretching mat, hand weights and skipping rope are provided. There are many beautiful trails close by, including The Corduroy Brook Nature Trail 3 kms away. There are two fitness gyms locally and a YMCA with squash, pool, etc.
How old fashioned are we talking?
We have modern kettle, coffee maker, wifi, tv, microwave, fridge, freezer, cooking and cleaning supplies. Yes, we caved and got paper towels. And yes we have both a tub and shower. We have a modern frying pan and cookware for guests not comfortable with cast iron. Our mattresses, pillows, and reading chairs are new and the highest quality. Our new washer/dryer combo is top of the line and wifi enabled.
Who designed this place?
This is Hayley Saunders’s sixth property design. She designed it after being inspired by Mary Bell’s work (one of the designers and contributors). Visiting one of Mary’s properties, she noticed how amazing it felt to return to an all-natural primitive home environment. Her belief is we can all thrive if we return to a natural way of life and unplug. Hayley was born here in Grand Falls-Windsor. Her father built a local subdivision. Her uncle, who also loved Newfoundland resources, played a pivotal part in creating a publicly traded mining company right here in Newfoundland.
